How much does a project cost?
It depends on how many systems are involved and how clean the access to them is, so I quote each job on its own rather than working from a rate card.
The price is fixed and agreed in writing before any work starts. The number in the quote is the number you pay. If the scope changes, we agree the change and the new price first. The first call and the quote are free, and there are indicative figures on the home page.
How long does a project take?
It depends on the number of systems and the quality of the access to them. A single integration is much faster than a trained model.
You get a date with the quote, before the work starts. If a supplier or an approval delays the work, I tell you as soon as I know.
What do you need from me?
Three things: a clear description of the slow task, examples of the real input and the correct output, and access to the systems involved.
The examples matter most. Half an hour of your time at the start saves days of work later.
What does the support retainer include?
Monitoring, fixes if something breaks, updates when a connected service changes its API, and small changes to the software. You also get priority replies and a short monthly note.
A large new feature is a separate project with its own fixed price. The retainer is optional, and you can stop it at any time.
Who owns the code?
You do. You get the source code, the documentation and full control of the accounts.
I do not resell software licences with a mark-up, and I do not hold your accounts. You can give the work to another engineer at any time.
What happens to my data?
Your data stays in your accounts. I use the smallest access the job needs, and I remove my access at handover.
If a project sends data to a model provider, I tell you which data goes there and why before the work starts. Where privacy matters most, the model can run on your own machine, so nothing leaves the building.
